Links Between the Living and the Dead is a small book containing two lectures given to members of the Anthroposophical Society in Bergen, Norway on the 10th and 11th of October, 1913. It is also entitled, Descriptive Sketches of the Spiritual World.

The eGallery — Fine Art Presentations is back! (as of 12/08/2003)

In case you haven't noticed ...
We are again pleased to announce, after over a year of being closed, the new and improved eGallery has reopened to the public. It is our Fine Art Presentation site.

We have accomodated some artists by removing them from the site, and have also added many new Artists and Categories to the site: categories in the areas of Art Movement, Artists by Century and Ethnicity, and some Special Collections. All artists are recognized as true artists, however, there are some artworks that parents may feel are unsuited for their child's viewing, especially in the Fantasy and Pin-up Collections. Please be aware.

So, have a visit, and let us know what you think — your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The Mission of Christian Rosenkreutz Its Character and Purpose (as of 12/06/2003)

These lectures, delivered in several European cities, cover many details of the tasks and deeds of Christian Rosenkreutz and Rosicrucian Christianity, such as his influence on G.E. Lessing and Madame Blavatsky. Other related topics include the mission of Gautama Buddha on Mars, the Bodhisattva Jeshu ben Pandira and his secret connection with the Gospel of St. Matthew, the coming of Maitreya Buddha, the workings of karma, and the living etheric reality of Christ today and the future stages of his increasing manifestation to humanity.

The significance of occult knowledge in promoting conscious prolongation of life, immortality. The universal law of the development of consciousness. The task of our epoch to permeate the mineral world with human spirit. Spiritualised natural kingdoms as future soul-content of man, resting on the law of evolution and involution. Future penetration of man's spirit into the atom. Relationship of the atom, thought and electricity. The destruction of the fifth Root Race through the War of All against All. The significance of forms in connection with future stages of development. Their correspondence with the Higher Degrees of Freemasonry. The fifth Sub Race as epoch of pure intellect, as epoch of egoism and its necessary defeat.

These three lectures, given in Berlin in 1904, are about (On) Apocalyptic Writings. Translated by D.S. Osmond. From a typed transcription.

The Mission of the Archangel Michael (as of 11/24/2003)

The first six lectures included in this volume were given in Dornach, Switzerland, November 21-30, 1918. they are taken from the original edition that bears the title, Die Sendung Michaels (Volume 194 in the Bibliographic Survey, 1961). The final two lectures were given in Munich, West Germany, February 14, and 17, 1918. They are included in the original edition bearing the title, Mitteleuropa zwischen Osdt und West (Volume 174a in the Bibliographic Survey, 1961).

The Personality of Rudolf Steiner and His Development (as of 11/14/2003)

An interesting look at Steiner: some Biographical notes on Rudolf Steiner by Edouard Schur�. From the 1910 Macoy Publishing Company book, The Way of Initiation. This book is the first half of: Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and Its Attainment. Also, look in the Biographies Section.

Michaelmas and the Soul-Forces of Man (as of 11/09/2003)

In these lectures Steiner shows us the need to "expand the horizon of life into the breadth of the world" so that we can overcome the contemporary "hermit existence." This volume along with Cycle of the Year completes the entire German volume GA 223.

New, individual lectures (as of 10/17/2003)

There are many new, individual lectures now appearing in the Lectures Section, and more will be coming shortly. Examples are: Elemental Beings and Human Destinies, The Sense-Organs and Aesthetic Experience, A Turning-Point in Modern History, and Youth in an Age of Light. Look for the icon in all of the sections.

Riddles of Philosophy (as of 10/10/2003)

Written in 1914, the full title of this book is, The Riddles of Philosophy Presented in an Outline of Its History. It is not a “history of philosophy,” although the approach is historical. It is a review of historical and present-day world conceptions. Originally, this work appeared in two volumes in the German language. The first English edition appeared in 1973 and is bound as one volume.
Together with Truth and Science and The Philosophy of Freedom, it could be considered as one third of a philosophical trilogy.
